4. Fight scenes or smex scenes?
Smex. They are so personal to everyone, so everyone has an opinion about whether you’ve written it well or not. With fight scenes, people care a little less.

Cry Of The Wolf (Eye Of The Storm #2) has just been published.
Cry Of The Wolf (Eye Of The Storm #2) has just been published.
Well, you should
read book one first :p But here’s the blurb for book two:
Blurb:
The full moon is a week away, and although Lydia is as excited as it gets
to run as a wolf for the first time, she is also fighting to keep her
independence while trying to understand her role in the lives of the three
males that have come to rule hers: compassionate, tender Taylor; impetuous,
fun-loving Ryan and distant, cold Lawrence.
There's also a fourth man in Lydia's life. Brendan, her previous "friend with benefits", is tirelessly searching for her. He's about to uncover things that should be kept hidden.
However, the testosterone surrounding her is the last thing she should be worrying about. Her family bear truths about her heritage she's not ready to face ... she may not have a choice, because the greatest danger to them all comes from within. The past never stays buried for long, and among the shadows of their species it is rising with a vengeance, threatening to tear their pack apart for good.
Notes: Book two of a series - it is highly recommended that book one be read first. This is an adult, paranormal fantasy short novel (over 55,000 words) containing scenes of explicit sexual content and some violence, entwined with romantic elements. (Written in British English.)

Excerpt:
On impulse she grabbed his folded shirt, scrunched it up to her nose and
breathed it in. Her
heart ached. Did he not know? Did he not know it was his scent, him,
that had saved her life
… his scent on her blouse?
No, because you never told him…
Damn it.
Selfish idiot. There you go, shutting people out again.
She whipped off the top she’d just put on and slipped his shirt on
instead without
bothering to button it up, the way it smelled – all green and musky –
taking her back to that
night she’d been so confused, and in so much pain… “Your scent was the
only thing that kept
me sane,” she whispered.
“I’m sorry.”
She all but screamed as she turned to face the door.
Taylor stood there, naked, hands and feet muddied, smudges of dirt all
over his body,
brown hair tousled, green eyes shining in apology.
“I didn’t hear you.”
“I was quiet.”
“I didn’t smell you.”
“Because you’re wearing my shirt.” Desire darkened his eyes at those
words, but only
for a second, and then he was back to apologetic.
EM: *heart flutter* Love Taylor. Love this scene.
Any upcoming releases?
Blurb:
"You're
offering me clarity, so I can choose the best future for my child?
Freely?" she asked, the palm of her hand stroking the swell of her belly,
her heart already feeling lighter with the promise of hope. Anything but this
migraine-inducing confusion she'd been living with.
"Yes."
"But you're asking me to consider turning away from your offer?"
"Yes."
"Why? Why would any mother walk away from that?"
He strode towards her, tossing the apple up and down with a careless ease. His eyes glinted in the shadows that gave depth to the night. "Because free will is unruly. Because free will's a bitch to conquer." Lucifer stopped an inch in front of her, then lowered his head, whispering directly in her ear, "Because one man's free will, is another man's prison."
The earth is in a state of shock after the apocalypse. The veil between dimensions is no more. Demons and fallen angels walk among humans, and everyone is trying to find their place in the new world - Morgan le Fey's world.
But the fairy queen finds herself cemented within humanity and struggling with human emotions, and her right-hand-man, Lucifer, has secrets which are causing fissions among every race.
Meanwhile, Karl and Elena struggle with newly discovered powers; Katarra is hell-bent on freeing her tribe from Lokoli's curse, and two men will stop at nothing to protect their unborn child - the Messiah of the New Age - and the woman they love.
Far to the East, the fallen Archangel Michael is fighting for the one he holds above all others.
The Last Dragon is about to rise and seal everyone's future, which depends solely on its survival ... or its extinction.
