Dropping onto the cold wood, I hunched over, elbows on knees and my head in my hands. Why am I shaking?
Taking a ragged breath, I ran my fingers through my hair and stared at the ground. How the heck would I get through the wedding if I couldn't even stand in a church for twenty minutes? This is a disaster.
Collecting the half cigarette from its packet along with my lighter, I lit the cig and clumped back. I gazed at the sky while I sucked every drop of nicotine I could into my body. The sweet burn caressed my frayed nerves.
Six years. God he looked good. Why did he have to look so good? Why couldn't he have put on weight or cut his hair? Something, anything to make him look less like my William.
No. He's not my William. What the hell is wrong with me?

Blurb:
There's nothing like a wedding to bring the family together ....
If not for her baby sister's impending marriage, Margaret West would never return home. But after six long years, she finds herself a maid of honor who must answer to the people she left behind.
If her parents' interrogation doesn't drive her to drink, facing her foster brother, Adrian, just might. To make matters worse, her ex-fiancé is the vicar who will conduct her sister's ceremony.
Everyone demands to know why she ran off. But the more time she spends at home, the more Margaret realizes even she doesn't know the real reason.
