Apologies that I am a little late with this weeks snippet. This week was supposed to be rather straightforward and apart from the ongoing Stepping Stones release tour I only had edits for Cranberry Blood to continue with, but was that the case?
No. On top of having time stolen from me I have been feeling a little under the weather since Monday. So, alas this week turned out to be a real pain, but never mind it is Sunday, the beginning of a brand new week and this next week should hopefully be a little better especially because the release tour ends on July 2nd, which is this Wednesday and I should have edits for Cranberry Blood finished this evening. Yay! :)
So, just to update you, this is every stop on the Stepping Stones blog tour so far:
Guest post at Cassandra Dean's: Are my characters based on real people?
Guest post at Catherine Peace's: Why Stepping Stones?

The giveaway is still going and the rafflecopter can be found at the bottom of any of the above posts. I'm giving away 2x copies of Stepping Stones & 2x Swag packs (pictured below.)
And on that note it is time for this weekssexy sweet snippet. We're continuing from where we left off last week, meaning you now get to meet Adrian. Just a tad over 7 sentences, but I just had to end it the way I have. ;-P Enjoy!

"Smoking is bad for you."
The alto tone made my stomach clench.
God had to be punishing me. He just had to be, because I wasn't ready for any of this.
"So are a great number of things." A puff of smoke left my lips as I look ahead, evaluating the man who stood before me.
The arched window to my left poured its soft light over him, allowing me to see every inch. He wore a thigh-length black polyester coat over black loafers and slacks. His golden hair was brushed back, stray strands falling over his forehead. His cheeks looked flushed, no doubt due to the bitter evening air.
He looks like an angel in the winter snow.
"Hello, Magpie."

Blurb:
There's nothing like a wedding to bring the family together ....
If not for her baby sister's impending marriage, Margaret West would never return home. But after six long years, she finds herself a maid of honor who must answer to the people she left behind.
If her parents' interrogation doesn't drive her to drink, facing her foster brother, Adrian, just might. To make matters worse, her ex-fiancé is the vicar who will conduct her sister's ceremony.
Everyone demands to know why she ran off. But the more time she spends at home, the more Margaret realizes even she doesn't know the real reason.
