Halloween

Halloween  is an annual holiday observed on October 31. It has roots in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian holiday All Saints' Day, but is today largely a secular celebration.

So, I would have looooved to have gone crazy, put some contests up for y'all to win some 'treats' but I don't have anything good to give you, except a promise that this time next year I will do a rocking week of treats running up to Halloween. This year (this week) is just going to be random convos of the 'spooky-ish' kind.

So to kick start this week lets talk about what everyone is planning on doing for this halloween.

I will be having a scary movie night with my family (slightly dull I know but it's kind of a tradition). Although it is very hard for people to sit through a horror movie with me, I tend to give a running commentary on any and every film since a lot of them are daft in one way or another  but most of the time the family just love laughing at me due to my comments so... fun for all! I don't actually have a fave scary movie either which is pretty bad.

Sometimes we do dress up, but it seems daft to do so when you're just sat watching a film, so we stopped doing that. The best part of Halloween though is getting to eat candy (I loooove candy!) and you can so get away with eating loads, because hey, it's Halloween, the one time you can eat candy for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

(Trying to do the 'scream' voice) What's your favourite scary movie? - And what are you doing this year? Hopefully something a little more exciting than me.

  1. I have to say of the "newer" scary movies, The Ring is my favorite. I can judge how good the movie is by what I do with my legs. I CANNOT watch a scary movie with my legs hanging off the couch (or bed, whatever I'm sitting on), you know just in case the monster under the couch grabs my legs. I start sitting normal and the more scared I get the more I pull them up until I'm sitting on them LOL. Also have to say that The Exorcism of Emily Rose scared the s**t out of me. I was watching it wilth 2 friends (who fell alseep - go figure) and when the movie was over I didn't want them to leave cause I didn't want to be by myself! Couldn't get them to say though :-P

  2. lol my best friend is a pillow grabber. She hides behind them and stares at me until the scene is over. Most of the time she has to sit next to me when we watch some kind of 'scary' movie. She's becoming immune to them now, paying to much attention to my comments.

Emily Rose.... twas creepy. The meanies! :P
