I was never a big reader - I know, it's unimaginable, and blasphemy. But, a friend of mine was adamant that I would like half of the books he had. So, he lent me MoonCalled, which is the 1st Book in the Mercy Thompson series.
Now, I didn't pick it up straight away, but when I did, I could not put it down. I don't even know what it was that captivated me about it. Mercy is hardcore, yet feminine. She's a coyote shifter leaving next door to one of the sexiest alpha's I have ever read. I mean damn, Adam is.... *shivers* he's got it. Whatever it is that makes my bones go to jelly, he's got it.
And, well that's it. I've been hooked from book 1. Each story has a new bad guy, but the build in the relationship, and Pack issues is ongoing through the series. And my god this series is totally worth reading just for those moments between Mercy and Adam. *Swoons*
Of course it's awesome also because there are vampires, and fae, and a whole load of other magical and mythical folks. But did I mention Adam?
