Before we
begin, could you tell us a little about yourself?
Sure.
My love
affair with writing began at nine years old when inspired by the "will
they ever be together" relationship between Candy and Jeremy on "Here
Comes The Brides." (Did I just date myself?) I filled notebook after
notebook of "happily-ever-afters" for these characters. I haven't stopped writing since.
I live in the
Midwest , am a single mother, work full time,
and includes my rescued Bouviers and
Poodle as part of my family. I am down to earth, and hate phony people. I crave to be outdoors as much as possible
and find my inspiration from the lakes and forests which surround me. I hate
winter, love summer and sun. I am captivated by the moon and night time. I am
an "autumn." I am addicted to
chocolate, a good romance and bag pipe music. I am completely at home in the
water. I adore fantasy and believe in
magic. Enough? Probably more than you wanted to know. LOL.

Which do
you find harder to write?
1. First
person POV or Third?
First person is hard for me. I am notorious
for accidently switching to another point of view.
2. As a
male or female?
I find it harder to write as a male. When I
write from a male point of view I have to be careful not to make it
"female trying to write like a man" point of view. I ask my male
friends lots of questions to make sure I understand the male psyche.
3.
Beginning, middle or end of the story?
The end is always hardest for me to write.
I don't know if it’s just because I don't want the story to end or if I feel I
just don't have it right. But I always struggle with the end.
4. Fight
scenes or sex scenes?
Oh, I just experienced this with " The
Fire of Beltane". Fight scenes are so hard for me to write. I can write sex scenes at the drop of a
hat…or pants, but fights? Sooooo
difficult.
5. Synopsis
or blurb?
Blurbs come pretty easy for me. But I tend to over do a synopsis.
As a
writer, do you prefer:
6. Writing
in the morning, afternoon or evening?
I work full-time so the only time I have is
in the evening or on the weekends. I squeeze writing in whenever I can. Sometimes even in the car while I'm waiting
to pick up kids.
7. Writing
with music, or in peace?
Definitely with music. I have an ipod with three thousand songs. So
I have something for every mood. I have my favorites which seem to be standards
every time I sit down to write. Headphones are a must, it blocks out the noise
from the kids.
8.
Planning, or Improvising?
Both. I like to have a basic outline, but
then I let the characters take me where they will.
9. Juggling
a few projects, or concentrating on one at a time?
I am usually swimming in a sea of
half-finished projects as I work on one.
10.
Sticking to one genre, or exploring many?
I started with Contemporary Erotic
Romance, but I am moving into Erotic Romantic Fantasy. Who knows where this
will lead?
As a
reader, do you prefer:
11. Story
being told from female view or male?
No preference.
12. Good
guys or bad boys?
Definitely bad boys that do the right
thing. I love flawed but perfect alpha heroes.
13. Feisty females or fragile damsels?
Either/or. Not picky. I like to see some vulnerability.
Even a fragile character can have strong qualities and a feisty character can
have insecurities.
14. Stand
alone stories or series?
I find I get frustrated with series waiting
for the next book to come out. I either
forgot where the previous one left off or I just wait until all books are out
before beginning to read the series. .
15. Quick
reads or long stories?
I like both. Depends on how busy I am with work.
16. Romance
as a side dish or the main course?
For me, romance always has to be the main
course.
17. Erotica
or soft romance or something in-between?
Hot, hot, hot Erotica! The Steamier the better, but always with
romance.
18. More
action or humor?
Depends on the story. I love both.

Vampires or Angels?
Fallen or flawed angels.

Werewolves or Demons?
Demons.
For some reason I never warmed up to werewolves. Not sure why, just a personal preference
thing.
Do you have
any current release?
You betcha. The Fire of Beltane is being released April 30th
(appropriately Beltane eve) from Noble Romance. It is an Erotic Romance with
fantasy.

Aedan shifted
his gaze as the longing of a thousand years descended upon him. The sensation
moved through him with a force so powerful, so overwhelming in its strength, he
halted all movement, the intensity besieging him.
He
saw her then, standing right before him, and his heart stopped. She stood at
the counter, flipping through a book of the museum's paintings.
Aislinn.
His breath
caught in his throat, while his eyes traveled the length of her, his entire
being unsure whether to believe the woman before him was really her. Her
coppery hair and timeless features were exactly as he remembered.
Approaching
cautiously, Aedan watched as bewilderment crossed her face. The book slid from
her hands, landing with a thud on the floor. She gripped the counter, her other
hand going to her head. In two remaining strides, he was at her side.
"Aislinn,
are you all right?" He took hold of her elbow to steady her, raising his
other hand to her cheek, stroking his knuckles down the smooth skin.
"Did you
feel that?" Her bewildered gaze snapped up to meet his, inquisitive. She
pulled her face away from his intimate touch and lifted her arm from his hand.
Her brow furrowed. She responded belatedly to his question, stepping away. "I'm sorry." She swallowed hard.
"I don't know what came over me." Rubbing the gooseflesh on her arms,
Aislinn took another step back.
Do you not know me? he silently pleaded.

What are
you currently working on?
I have two
works in progress. The first is a
medieval erotic romance about a knight is charged with delivering a childhood
friend to her betrothed, but the journey proves more tempting than he
anticipated. And the second is a
contemporary erotic romance about a sizzling Mediterranean cruise and an
unsuspecting Italian hunk.
