Playing 20 question with Laura Miks, or is O'Leone?

Today I am joined by the lovely Laura Miks, er, I mean, O'Leone??

EM: Welcome to My World, Laura! Thank you so much for stopping by to play twenty questions with me : )

Before we begin, could you tell us a little about yourself?

Thanks, Elizabeth. I’m very happy to be here. It’s nice to take a vacation to “My World” where I know I’ll have a good time. I am Laura O’Leone and Laura Miks…2 halves of my other half. Miks is naughty and O’Leone is nice…but a little naughty, too. My other other half is a straight-laced Midwest veterinarian who’s been well established as a homebody and goody-two-shoes by her clients and colleagues…if only they knew the truth! Mwahahaha!

EM: Are you ready to play 20 questions? *rubs hands together*

Which do you find harder to write?

1. First person POV or Third?

First person…the writing part isn’t bad but imagining my friends and family reading a raunchy (the best kind) sex scene in the first person is a little uncomfortable.

2. As a male or female?

As a male…I’m never sure what to do with my/the balls.

EM: *giggles* I'm sure Miks might have an idea? ; P

3. Beginning, middle or end of the story?

The middle. I have the beginning and an awesome ending worked out before I begin writing. The middle is the hardest because it’s hard to know how many tangents to go off on.

4. Fight scenes or sex scenes?

A sex scene. Syntax and genitals are a delicate coupling.

5. Synopsis or blurb?

Blurb! So many ideas…so few words allowed.

EM: *Hates writing blurbs*
As a writer, do you prefer:

6. Writing in the morning, afternoon or evening?

Evening. Fewer distractions (except now that the new TV season has started : ) )

EM: Thankfully tv is rubbish on this side of the pond : P

7. Writing with music, or in peace?

I like a familiar movie playing in the background. Like Mars Attacks playing over and over.

EM: : 0 I love Mars Attacks! *starts barking like an alien*

8. Planning, or Improvising?

Improvising.

9. Juggling a few projects, or concentrating on one at a time?

One is enough for my small brain.

EM: *Takes tape measure out and measures brains* Yours is a larger than mine.

10. Sticking to one genre, or exploring many?

I write erotic as Laura Miks and sensual romance as Laura O’Leone. Romance is good, I’ll stick with that.

As a reader, do you prefer:

11. Story being told from female view or male?

Male…I think it lets the ladies see what guys think/want…even though I know it was written by a woman. It helps me fall in love with every hero.

12. Good guys or bad boys?

Good guys at heart that are horribly, horribly misunderstood.

13. Feisty females or fragile damsels?

Feisty, fragile leaves me limp.

EM: *Giggles at pun?*
14. Stand alone stories or series?

Stand alone. I don’t have time for a series. Once a start I can’t stop. No elf control.

15. Quick reads or long stories?

Quick reads. I’m busy.

16. Romance as a side dish or the main course?

Main course.

17. Erotica or soft romance or something in-between?

Both…all.

18. More action or humor?

Humorous action is just my size.

EM: *Giggles some more* I'm so immature!

Just for fun:

19. Vampires or Angels?

Angels.

20. Werewolves or Demons?

Werewolves.

What are you currently working on?

I’m taking a little break after 2 releases this summer : )

EM: Oooh I break, how nice that would be. *Envies*

Do you have any current release?

-Laura O’Leone presents Secrets Kept. Seth and Gloria are married…by accident…can Seth prove to Gloria its true love? An action packed romance that will leave you wanting more. Don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed because Secrets Kept is the prequel to my smash hit Secrets Revealed.

-Laura Miks presents Fillian’s Empty Feast. This is more of an erotic campfire story. It’s the fable of the origins of wet dreams. Fillian’s insatiable sexual appetite is only quenched when she meets the otherworldly Nath. Their cataclysmic mating, over four days, is nothing like she’d ever experienced. Nath’s wrath and his punishment for her betrayal is nothing like she could have ever imagined. It’s a paranormal erotic romance to last the ages.
