Playing 20 Questions with Abby-Rae Rose!

Competition has ended! Abby will be contacting the winner soon!

Today I am joined by the lovely Abby-Rae Rose . . .

EM: Welcome to My World, Abby. Thank you so much for stopping by to play twenty questions with me :-)

Before we begin, could you tell us a little about yourself?

Abby-Rae Rose is an independent student working on her PhD in English. She writes Paranormal Romance, and Western suspense, also working on a YA Romance series. She is very hard-working and Open-minded. She has written for 2 years. Writing is not only a dream, but it has become her life. She wants to write stories that make her readers use their imagination. She will have you fall in love all over again, make you believe that life is not just hard work, but it’s fun and unexpected things can happen.

EM: Are you ready to play 20 questions? *Rubs hands together* Mwahaha!

Which do you find harder to write?

1. First person POV or Third?

I love to write in Third person. It makes me feel like I’m one with the character. First person is great when you want the reader to really connect with the main hero or heroine.

2. As a male or female?

I love to write in the males POV. Female POV seems to cause me some problems. Comparing myself to them, it’s like a battle of the female minds.

3. Beginning, middle or end of the story?

It depends on what we are talking about. I love to read the end of a book. So, when I go back to the beginning I will look for the adventure of it all, LOL.

Now, if we are talking about writing, I love the middle of the story. Weird! Yes, I know. I love to have the reader on edge. But what writer doesn’t.

4. Fight scenes or sex scenes?

Honestly, I love writing sex scenes. It’s when you have to be very intimate and sensual. Fight scenes are okay.

5. Synopsis or blurb?

Blurb!! Always, I don’t know one, not one writer that likes to write Synopsis.

As a writer, do you prefer?

6. Writing in the morning, afternoon or evening?

I’m a big morning person. I wake up at 4am and start to write. Sometimes the story is so strong that I write when the time feels right.

7. Writing with music, or in peace?

I write with my T.V on mute. So, I’m not sure if that is really considered peace, LOL.

8. Planning, or Improvising?

I love to do both.

9. Juggling a few projects, or concentrating on one at a time?

I usually only work on one project at a time, it depends on my Hero or Heroine. They run the show; I just write everything they show me.

10. Sticking to one genre, or exploring many?

Right now, I write Adult Erotica, and Contemporary. However, I’m working on a YA series as we speak.

As a reader, do you prefer?

11. Story being told from female view or male?

I like the story being told for either or. I’m not picky.

12. Good guys or bad boys?

BAD BOYS!!! Always and forever

13. Feisty females or fragile damsels?

Feisty females bring a different plate to the table. SO, I’m going to have to go with them.

14. Standalone stories or series?

I love Series. I like to see what happens to the hero and heroines close friends.

15. Quick reads or long stories?

I prefer Long reads. Most people just like the quick story lines. I like to know more about the characters life.

16. Romance as a side dish or the main course?

I would have to say Side Dish. I don’t want to just fall in love with the hero or heroine automatically. I like for there to be something holding them apart.

17. Erotica or soft romance or something in-between?

Would have to say I prefer Soft romance. Seeing that I write Erotica, it’s nice to just read something sensual with less sex.

18. More action or humor?

Humor takes first place. I love to laugh thought a book.

Just for fun:

19. Vampires or Angels?

Angles, Sorry team Edward, LOL

20. Werewolves or Demons?

They are not called Werewolves, LOL. So, SHAPESHIFTERS take the lead.

What are you currently working on?

I’m actually working on a YA series. The first book is called “Invisible Magic.”

  2. I love the cover of "Captain's Virgin Fantasy". The captain in the background happens to look something like Johnny Depp from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Would love to read the book. Thank you for a chance to win.
