Stepping Stones available to pre-order!

My Contemporary Romance Novella Stepping Stones is now available to pre-order! I will be re-releasing this title on April 30th 2018.😁
This is the last of my titles which was previously published with a publisher. So not only will April 30th be SS release date, but the date that marks all my titles being self-published. YAY!
No changes have been made to the story and yes, the cover is the same one that the publishers used. I decided to keep the cover because I loved it so much and felt that it fit the feel of the story perfectly. So everything is the same except the price. Stepping Stones is $1.99 which is half of what it was originally on sale for. More importantly Stepping Stones will also be available to purchase as a paperback for the first time. I can't wait to see the full cover jacket. <3 span="">

So for those of you who like sweet romances or who haven't yet read this title; you can pre-order it now. Links are below.

Excerpt:
“When is Aidy getting here?” Jessica grabbed the large bowl of scrambled eggs and brought it closer to her plate.
“I think his flight is due in at three.” My mother placed a dish of bacon on the table and took a seat beside me. “He will be in time for the wedding rehearsal; don’t worry.”
My stomach clenched. “Wedding rehearsal?” I coughed, trying to clear the chunk of toast lodged in my throat. “What wedding rehearsal?”
“Today at four. We’re running through the service.” Jess scooped egg onto her plate. “I told you.”
Nervous laughter bubbled in my throat, and try as I may, I couldn’t stop shaking my head. “No.” I patted my chest. “No, you never mentioned a rehearsal.”
“Oh.” She placed the bowl back in the middle of the table. “I could have sworn I did.”
“Nope, you didn’t. Believe me, I would have remembered otherwise.” I grabbed my mug and knocked the coffee back before finishing my piece of toast.
“Well, it’s no big deal.” Edward took the bowl of eggs and helped himself.
“Just a quick run-through.”
“Will everyone be there?” Forcing a smile on my face, I looked up at them both, hoping like hell my question would pass as innocent and genuine curiosity.
“Anyone who is involved in the wedding itself will be.”
Great. So that meant Jessica, Edward, the parents, and the bridesmaids, plus me. Plus Adrian and…. “Will Vicar Taylor be there?”
Oh, God, did my voice just go higher?
“Yes, Margaret, William will be there. He is the one who is marrying Jessie and Edward, so he needs to be there.” My father skewered some bacon and tomatoes onto his fork.
Grimacing, I reached out and grabbed another piece of toast. “Just a question, Pa.”
A stupid one, but a question, nevertheless…
“It is normal for people to have wedding rehearsals, Margaret. Just because you—”
Jess picked up the coffeepot. “Does anyone want more coffee?”
I straightened, my focus fixed on Pa. “I’m aware.”
“Maggie?”
My father’s shoulders went rigid. He lifted his head, and our gazes locked. I didn’t miss the way the muscle in the side of his neck ticked. Arguing with my father in front of Jessica and Edward was not an option, so I looked away.
“Please.” I held out my mug, and Jess poured the dark liquid.
I could kick myself. A wedding rehearsal hadn’t even crossed my mind. Having to stand at the altar before William on the actual wedding day would be hard enough, but having to do it twice…my stomach churned.
“So, will Adrian come straight to the church?” Edward cut the awkward silence.
“Yes. He will get a taxi to the church, and then we will bring him and his luggage back here.” My mother held her mug out to Jess.
“Adrian is staying here? Tonight?” I added sugar to my coffee. “Won’t it be crowded? I thought—”
“No more crowded than it was in your childhood.” My father took a bite of his toast.
More and more good news. Of course he would be staying here; it was his family home, after all. I guess it was stupid of me to hope he would go to a B&B, but my parents wouldn’t have allowed it even if he’d suggested it. I hadn’t seen him in six years, hadn’t spoken to him. And yet, in a couple of hours, I would be locked in the same house with him

Happy New Year & What's New for 2018

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and have set some fantastic goals for 2018.

A lot of people are saying it, but where the hell did 2017 go? This year has just gone so quickly, it's insane.

Newsletter

I decided last year it was time for me to start a newsletter as I often wonder if people are actually seeing my facebook or blog post etc. the way social media is sometimes, well, posts can be missed and that's not fair on you. At least with a newsletter it is going straight to your email accounts and you have the option to hold on to any of them.

So, the plan is that I shall be sending a newsletter out every 3 months; January, April, July, and October. Unless something super exciting comes up or I naturally have a release due then there might be the odd sneaky one slipped in, but those main 4 will be updates.

As a thank you for subscribing to my newsletter you will automatically be added into my subscribers giveaway. With the help of Random.org a name shall be selected every 3 months from the list of my subscribers and the winner will be announced in the next newsletter.

So the winner of this months prize will be selected in April and announced in the April newsletter.

The first prize I'm giving away is themed on my debut novella, Razel Dazzle. It only seemed right this being my first newsletter. The selected subscriber will receive a book quote tote bag, a signed copy of Razel Dazzle and a custom made bookmark.

If you're interested in signing up to my mailing list just click here: http://eepurl.com/dfYVAP

WIP & Releases

2017 was a slow year for me when it came to writing. Actually scratch that, it's been my slowest year as in I published nothing at all. It doesn't make me feel good. I feel rubbish about it, but it is just the way the year went and I can't do anything about it now.

Just because I haven't published anything new this year it doesn't mean that I haven't been writing. I go into some slush pile projects every now and then and add bits, and since I published Blood Secrets back in April 2016, I have spent a year and a half chipping away at Cross My Heart: Blood Book 1.5. The reason it has taken so long is because of stuff that's been going on in my life and where my head has been at, but I don't like the fact that yet again there has been a huge gap between the last and next release in this series, but I also dont want to write any old rubbish just for the sake of getting the book finished and released.

So I apologize for the delay of the next Blood Book and once again, thank you all for your patience.

Needless to say my biggest priority this year is finishing AND publishing, Cross My Heart. I can't set a date yet. I set the word goal for 30k. I'm already over 15k, but as with all of my goals I will probably go over 30k so for no lets just say I'm aiming to have this book finished by summer and for release in Autumn at the latest.

In other news for 2017, I received the rights back for two of my stories; Truth or Dare? which is a 10k short story, and my novella Stepping Stones. I will be re-releasing both of these books in 2018. For those of you that have already purchased them please note that the stories haven't changed. The main change is to the pricing.

Update on why I'm so silent

So it has been a long time since I have done an update post. I think the last one I did was after Blood Secrets (Blood Series: Book Two) was released?

At the time of Blood Secrets release back in April 2016 I had applied for a job, which I was offered and accepted; the first six months - my probationary period - was a little nerve wrecking as all probationary periods are, but needless to say, I passed with flying colours and went in to 2017 knowing I had job security.

Why am I telling you this? Well, I think you all know by now that I have always had a day job; those jobs I do full time and although I wish it were different, writing is a part-time/side "job" for me. I enjoy my new job; I'm a supervisor and I have very flexible shifts, but due to the nature of my job - working evenings in to the early hours of the morning - and being in charge of organizing events etc needless to say that my time for writing has been squished down to "when I get a chance to, I will."

This might not sound surprising to you as you all know by now I'm not one of these authors that is publishing a book every month - god I wish - and although I know I don't have to explain myself since I have a life outside writing, but also all authors work differently and can take anywhere between weeks and years to write, complete and publish a book; I like to keep you in the loop, and also I like to apologize for the delay and to thank you for your patience and ongoing support. I know some of you are eagerly awaiting the next Blood Series book and I hate to keep you waiting. It may not seem like it, but I want it finished just as much as you do; the good news is I have started it and I am hoping to finish and publish it this year, but it dawned on me the other day that it has already been a year since the last book, Blood Secrets, was released and I felt sad about it - and freaked out by how quick this last year has flown.

I apologize from the bottom of my heart for the delay with the next book, but please know, I am 2 chapters in already and I do keep posting teasers on the Blood Series Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TheBloodSeries/

So the silence is due to not having much to really update you on at present; at least not in the book sense.

What else is happening/in store for 2017?

My website has been freshened up: www.e-morgan.com

I recently received the rights back for my contemporary erotic romance, short story, Truth or Dare? which I plan to slap a new cover on and re-release this summer.

I will be getting the rights back for my sweet contemporary romance novella, Stepping Stones, which I will be re-releasing before Christmas in paperback as well as an ebook.

If you live in the UK and would love to attend a free Author Signing Event I've organized - affectionately known as SASE - on Saturday 23rd September 2017 then check out the details here: www.booksigning.co.uk

Lastly, I'm writing the next book in the Blood Series, Cross My Heart (Blood 1.5). At the very least I aim to finish it this year; at most I hope to publish it around Halloween, but if not then it will be early 2018. So send me creative energy and good vibes. :)

I shall aim to update y'all a little more often and with happier news.

Thank you once again for being awesome and supportive readers!

Sexy Snippets . . . Stepping Stones!

Apologies that I am a little late with this weeks snippet. This week was supposed to be rather straightforward and apart from the ongoing Stepping Stones release tour I only had edits for Cranberry Blood to continue with, but was that the case?

No. On top of having time stolen from me I have been feeling a little under the weather since Monday. So, alas this week turned out to be a real pain, but never mind it is Sunday, the beginning of a brand new week and this next week should hopefully be a little better especially because the release tour ends on July 2nd, which is this Wednesday and I should have edits for Cranberry Blood finished this evening. Yay! :)

So, just to update you, this is every stop on the Stepping Stones blog tour so far:

Guest post at Cassandra Dean's: Are my characters based on real people?
Guest post at Catherine Peace's: Why Stepping Stones?
Interviewed by Leigh Ellwood
Interviewed by Sara Daniel

The giveaway is still going and the rafflecopter can be found at the bottom of any of the above posts. I'm giving away 2x copies of Stepping Stones & 2x Swag packs (pictured below.)

And on that note it is time for this weeks sexy sweet snippet. We're continuing from where we left off last week, meaning you now get to meet Adrian. Just a tad over 7 sentences, but I just had to end it the way I have. ;-P Enjoy!

~ * ~

"Smoking is bad for you."
The alto tone made my stomach clench.
God had to be punishing me. He just had to be, because I wasn't ready for any of this.
"So are a great number of things." A puff of smoke left my lips as I look ahead, evaluating the man who stood before me.
The arched window to my left poured its soft light over him, allowing me to see every inch. He wore a thigh-length black polyester coat over black loafers and slacks. His golden hair was brushed back, stray strands falling over his forehead. His cheeks looked flushed, no doubt due to the bitter evening air.
He looks like an angel in the winter snow.
"Hello, Magpie."

So yeah, that's what has been going on this week. Now for todays sexy sweet snippet. ;) I'm jumping to a new scene this week - which actually takes place after the previous two Sunday snippets - which will lead up to you meeting Adrian. Maggie's foster brother. Enjoy! :)

~ * ~

Dropping onto the cold wood, I hunched over, elbows on knees and my head in my hands. Why am I shaking?
Taking a ragged breath, I ran my fingers through my hair and stared at the ground. How the heck would I get through the wedding if I couldn't even stand in a church for twenty minutes? This is a disaster.
Collecting the half cigarette from its packet along with my lighter, I lit the cig and clumped back. I gazed at the sky while I sucked every drop of nicotine I could into my body. The sweet burn caressed my frayed nerves.
Six years. God he looked good. Why did he have to look so good? Why couldn't he have put on weight or cut his hair? Something, anything to make him look less like my William.
No. He's not my William. What the hell is wrong with me?

Release Day: Stepping Stones

It's release day! Okay, so technically release day isn't until tomorrow, but Stepping Stones has been on sale at the Decadent Publishing site for a few days and it went up on sale at Amazon yesterday.

I awoke this morning to find that it had already hit a best sellers list on both Amazon US & UK and had received a lovely 5 star review from Lynn at Book Reviews by Lynn. So, although release day isn't officially until tomorrow I'm still squeaking and dancing and shouting out that it is. : D

The book release tour kicks off today starting on Not Just A Stiff Upper Lip - and yes, you will notice that this blog post is exactly as the same as the one over there. I'm afraid I have copied and pasted it lol - and will finish on July 2nd. There is a tour wide giveaway; I will be giving away 2x copies of Stepping Stones as well as 2x Swag Packs (picture to the left) to take part and be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is leave an entry - or a few - on the rafflecopter at the end of the post.

So, I shall leave you with an excerpt and all the details of where I will be over the next two weeks. : D

Otherwise, we're continuing from last weeks snippet, which you can read here. Enjoy!

Reluctantly, I let go of the pew and continued forward, my head held high and gaze fixed on the wall behind him.
I clenched my shaking hands. My chest burned. I couldn't breathe, couldn't remember how. Heat spread under my skin. This had to be Hell. Well, my Hell, and funnily enough it was in a church, surrounded by people I -- either do or did -- love.
"You okay, Mags?" Edward nudged me when I stopped beside him.
Gulping back the sob wanting to break from my throat, I forced a smile. "You know me, I like to make a big entrance."
"Okay, this is hot it's going to go."
A shudder went down my spine at the sweet familiarity of William's voice. It had always been like cream and silk, smooth and tempting, too sinful for a vicar. A person couldn't help but take comfort in his gentle, masculine purr.

Sexy Snippets . . . Stepping Stones!

I'm cutting in to the sexy snippets of She-Wolf to tease you with my upcoming release, Stepping Stones. Yep, my sweet contemporary romance re-releases in just 8 days time (June 17th.) How fast has that come around?

I will be posting the tour schedule next week. The tour will last from June 16th till July 2nd. Lots of interviews, guest posts and spotlights, plus a tour wide competition. I'm giving away 2x ebook copies of Stepping Stones and 2x swag packs. So, if you're interested in getting your hands on some goodies look out for the details next week. For now, here's your first sneak peek at Stepping Stones. Enjoy!

Biting my lip, I hurried forward. Stacie and Ann moved aside, and my focus drifted up the pair of jean-clad legs, and then the broad, black polo neck, covered chest ahead of me. My gaze locked with William’s. I stumbled, managing to catch hold of one of the pews before I landed face-first on the cold floor. I smothered a curse.
He hadn’t changed. Same build. Same taste in clothes. Same shoulder-length black hair and sun-kissed complexion complete with a sprinkling of stubble on the lower half of his face. He didn’t even look any older. He still looked like the man I had fallen for.
Six years after what would have been our wedding day, I was finally walking down the aisle. And there William stood, waiting at the end, only not for me.
